Security tag audit (update)

Security tag audit (update)

In response to your questions:

Please note that the incidents in recent weeks were not break-ins, but rather cases where individuals obtained an owner’s or tenant’s access tag. Even with 24/7 security, this type of incident is challenging to prevent, as our staff cannot recognize every resident in the building.

To prevent these incidents, it is essential that we all—Body Corporate and residents alike—manage our access tags securely.

As part of the ongoing security audit, we will ensure that only authorized individuals have active tags. Any unvalidated tags will be disabled.

Important Security Measures:

  • Do not leave keys or tags in mailboxes. This poses a significant security risk.
  • Owner Responsibility: Owners are solely responsible for managing guest access and key returns. Consider using professional guest management services.
  • Limited Tag Issuance:
    • Maximum of 2 owner tags per unit
    • Maximum of 2 tenant tags per unit
    • All current tags must be revalidated for new or replacement tags
    • Tags are personal and cannot be shared
