The maintenance team has been experimenting with durable replacement materials for the atrium handrails. We have found a suitable solution that we will implement over the next 2 months. This new solution will be as maintenance free as possible and will last easily another 10 years.
Next week the maintenance team will start cleaning and priming the beach-facing facade of the building. The steel beams and railings will be made rust-free and coated in pink primer. As soon as the painting of the atrium interior has completed, the facade will receive its final coat of paint.
Please be aware that on Friday 8 November the garage door will be repaired. No vehicles can enter or exit the basement between 10.00 and 12.30.
Note: Before we can validate a tag for a tenant, we need the owner to send us a message with the tenant name and details. I can verify if someone is an owner on the list that Kevian gave me, but I have no other means to validate a tenant. You can send your tenant confirmation to security@thevillagehoutbay.com

Even with 24/7 security, this type of incident is challenging to prevent, as our staff cannot recognize every resident in the building. Tuesday 5 November from 9 AM until 1 PM the water in the building will be shut off for maintenance on the main water pipes.
Due to a malfunction of the garage door motor, the garage door cannot be closed at this moment. A security guard has been deployed to ensure no unauthorised individuals can enter. The door will be repaired on Monday morning.
